Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.

Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort #250 will have temporary membership privileges at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center.

Accommodations: Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort is a relaxing retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the northern-end of Longboat Key. Choose from our various unit styles including hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom garden view units, and one- and two-bedroom beach front units.

The unit was very nice. The kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking utensils. There was a small cooler which was an unexpected pleasant surprise. The location was great. The ocean was the backyard. The pool was bigger than I expected. I was very happy I found this at the last minute.

We had a very relaxing stay at Silver Sands. The rental unit was very comfortable. It did feel like "old Florida" style, which is a good thing! Nice grounds, pool was fantastic, putting green was an added bonus! The beach here was quiet and perfect!

This was our second stay at Silver Sands. It is the PERFECT location and setting on the gulf. The unit was newly renovated and very comfortable. Being on the second floor this time, the views were amazing. The steps were a little tough to navigate with luggage and such but we managed. The management are very responsive and great to deal with. Would definitely stay again!

For seniors the bed was too high, but it was comfortable. Sofa should be replaced, cushions were worn down on sofa bed couch and was not comfortable. The pool area was well kept. Pool water was great. Office staff terrific. Quiet end of the island was perfect.

Love Longboat Key the beach and water are beautiful.Silver Sands is steps away from the beach enjoyed the pool. I have stayed in several of the units always clean and plenty of linens the only complaint is some of the units need some REMODELING ice maker is an important need when you are vacationing. But other than that love our visit.

We had an amazing stay here - Ryne was wonderful at check in and anything we needed during the stay. The condo was clean, well furnished, with an unmatched view and access to the beach. Pool was great and they have awesome amenities.

I thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet of your vacation retreat on Longboat. I only had a few days there when I helped my son move to the area for a new job. After driving through the night from Indiana and unloading the truck up a flight of stairs, I was pleasantly surprised to find the unit was stocked with coffee! They also provided paper towels, toilet paper, laundry soap, dish soap, bath soap, shampoo, hair dryer ... all the amenities of a hotel. The unit was very neat and clean and the view was beautiful. My only suggestion would be if you ever do replace the patio table and chairs replace it with a bar height set. The cross bar on the screens really blocks your view when sitting in the chairs. I kept thinking I was missing a dolphin swimming by! &#xD83D;&#xDE09;. Thank you for sharing your home. I hope to make that my go to spot when visiting my son.

What can we say, waking up and having our coffee to the sound of ocean waves while we watched the morning beach wild life and the ocean itself only 20 yards away. Beach time was so easy. Just a short walk and your there. The umbrellas, towels, and lounge chairs were included. A wonderful place.

I had a lovely time at Silver Sands over Memorial Day weekend with my husband. There was a 3 day minimum due to the holiday weekend. Visitors of ours who were there for the day were able to get a parking pass at the nearby Cedar’s East Tennis Club, & we shuttled them back to us with their beach items. The room was clean with large fridge, screened balcony, & dishwasher with packets of soap included. Cutting board, knives, pans, glass casserole dishes, tongs, colander, bottle opener, and other kitchen conveniences were appreciated. We even found a broom in the AC closet that came in handy due to the dragged-in sand! The 2 propane grills by the pool were useful, but the one my husband used hadn’t been cleaned properly by previous users, so heating elements were coated with grease and he had a small grease fire to deal with. He put it out, and we finished everything up in the oven and microwave. Great staff, grounds (shuffleboard, corn hole, putt putt) and housekeeping! We would definitely stay here again!

Check in was very easy after hours. Our unit was very nice, clean and an awesome view of the Gulf and Sunset if you don't want to watch from the beach. Dolphins swam by almost every morning. The beach was clean and not over crowded. We had access to beach chairs and umbrellas daily. Very pleased with our stay and will be going back in the future!!!

I planned a weekend trip with my mom, and we wanted to be gulf-front with easy beach access. This was perfect for us. It's a beautiful property and the unit was as the pictures depicted. The manager was quick to respond when the water heater wasn't working and had it going working in no time. Overall very pleased.

We have been coming to this unit for years. I have seen a decline in the service on our last two visits. We stayed three nights and the room service was not what it used to be. Our trash was emptied only once in three days. I don't even think we had any service one of the three days. I understand Covid may have something to do with the limited service, but for the price we should receive better service.

We stayed for seven days and it was a very nice experience. Our room faced the ocean so we spent a lot of time on the screened in patio watching sunsets. Lauren and Sydney at the front desk were very nice and helpful. It was mostly a great experience. They did advertise daily housekeeping and we placed our placard requesting service on three days however they showed up only once. We had to call the front desk and Sydney had to bring us towels. Overall though the place was very nice and we would return.

The Silver Sands Resort is a quaint little resort located on beautiful Longboat Key Beach. Longboat Key beach is a 12 mile long sandy beach and very conducive to walkers. The staff at Silver Sands Resort is very friendly and helpful. We stayed in Unit #250. The unit was recently redecorated with new furniture – including a very comfortable king size bed and large screen TV. But the real selling point is the screened in lanai. We spent a couple hours each morning on the lanai enjoying the gulf views and our breakfast. After an afternoon on the beach we would return to the lanai for “Tea By The Sea” while we watched the picturesque Sunsets. We hope to return soon!!
