Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.

Accommodations: Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort is a relaxing retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the northern-end of Longboat Key. Choose from our various unit styles including hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom garden view units, and one- and two-bedroom beach front units.

Unit #243 Features: 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom unit in the Green Building with a direct pool view and a distant Gulf view from your private patio.

We stayed here last year, but decided this year was even better. The location of our rooms were perfect to walk on the beach early in the morning, to enjoy the pool during the day, and to marvel at the sunset in the evening. The kitchen was packed with supplies to make sure our “home cooking” was easy, and the modern decor was lovely. We also appreciated the two sleeping areas and the two televisions.

The unit we stayed in was in a great location by the pool and beach. The dishwasher was not correctly installed, brackets/screws missing. We were still able to use it. It will be an easy fix. The appliances were brand new post hurricane. The only negative was there was no kitchen table so if you want to have friends over for dinner or play cards you are out of luck. We ate our meals on end tables. The people in the office were very nice. We enjoyed our stay.

Only thing I would suggest is instructions on how to work the remote control. I tried and tried and couldn't figure it out.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Silver Sands. Our unit was perfect in size including a full kitchen with screened in porch overlooking the beautiful pool. The beach was directly behind the pool. Everything we have at home was provided in our unit. It was great to have pool towels and chairs/ chaise available as well. From the check in process through asking for restaurant recommendations and check out, the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. I appreciate their flexibility with our reservation request. We would not hesitate to return next year as well as request the same unit. 5 * review!

The location on the beach was great. They provide lounge chairs on the beach which is a real plus. The saline pool very nice and warm. The king size bed was very firm and comfortable.<br/>It was often hard to find an attendant during their staffed hours. Pans were put away dirty. Had a few issues with bugs. Neighbors were fighting and quite loud. When asked for a late check out it was denied. Not even an hour.

We decided to spend a few days of our vacation on the beach. Looked online and found Silver Sands for 3 nights. Great place to stay. Very clean. Pool warm. Friendly staff.

We thought the unit could have been updated to include a new bed (loud noise when getting in and out or sitting on the side). Bathroom needs updating. Very difficult to get in and out of the tub/shower given the sliding door. This has obviously been a problem in the past as the towel bar has been pulled from the wall. Would rate the unit itself a 3 1/2.

This is a really quaint, private tropical beachfront oasis right in the Gulf of Mexico. The resort is small and the 1 bedroom beachfront condo with full kitchen is furnished beautifully and is quite comfortable with lots of room. I highly recommend it.
