RVA offers Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort. Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.

Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort #257A will have temporary membership privileges at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles, fishing pier and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center.

Accommodations: Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort is a relaxing retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the northern-end of Longboat Key. Choose from our various unit styles including hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom garden view units, and one- and two-bedroom beach front units.

Silver Sands is right on the beach so walk out your door and out onto the sand! Our room was very clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, and super accommodating. It did not have a kitchenette, however, they had extras that a regular hotel does not have such as coffee mugs, wine glasses, real dishes and silverware. The sandy beach is beautiful and quiet, and offers lounge chairs too. Morning walks were amazing! Not crowded at all. The pool is clean and 90 degrees with grills and chairs to use. We would love to go back.

This was the perfect February getaway from the cold northern winter for my husband and I. The room was nicely decorate, efficient, clean, and best of all steps away from a spectacular beach! The office staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make our stay easy and pleasant. We'd definitely come back!

First stay on Longboat Key. We liked the idea of being close to restaurants and yet have a quiet beach environment. The room was as described, cozy with amenities for easy meals and snacks. We look forward to returning!

This was great for a two night getaway. Very quiet. Love the on beach access. AC is cool. Clean. I live in North. florida. Its nice to be able to drive to Caribbean feeling area. Longboat key is Gorgeous.

We loved our stay at Silver Sands, the location is perfect... literally 40 steps to the beach. The pool area is absolutely beautiful, well maintained and clean. There is a laundry room on site which is really handy. <br/>We will be back for sure, thank you for a great stay!

We stayed in a Studio at Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort on Long Boat Key. The studio was a perfect size for two people with basic amenities. Our room was literally 40 steps away from the beach and 150 steps from the water! <br/>The rental property was well maintained, clean and kept up. Washers and dryers on site which was helpful. The pool area was so beautiful, we utilized the pool every chance we got and it wasn’t crowded at all. <br/>Peggy the guest receptionist was so helpful and friendly! Great customer service. We will certainly be back!!! If you want a place with a great location, clean and friendly and a laid back atmosphere.... This is the place for you. We will be back.

We have been looking for a new area of Florida to stay in since where we used to stay is no longer there no thanks to the hurricane. This place is just as described but better in person. Perfect location, great staff, clean grounds, and a perfect spot for a couples trip or a family. A restaurant is .4 miles from this resort which is very convenient if you aren't looking to drive far. We will for sure rent here again.

Enjoyed the beach for 9 days , Hotel has great beach lounge chairs, and umbrellas for there guests, there’s a Publix and a CVS 6 miles south of the hotel and it’s on Longboat, super convenient no crowds on Longboat either. Super peaceful if your an older couple , there’s a small private store just a half a mile south if you need something quick like snacks and ice etc. the smaller unit was just right for a couple on a budget, I highly recommend it. If your really wealthy you might want to stay somewhere else if you’re super picky, it is a super clean Hotel.

We could not have asked for a better place to stay! The room is always clean. The fact that there were umbrellas and chairs to be used free of charge as well as Beach towels was a wonderful thing for us! The office staff was very helpful and giving us ideas on where to dine and the cleaning staff was always very friendly.

Everything was perfect other than I didn’t know how to work the TV that well. However we didn’t really use the TV because we were tired after long days at the beach! Thanks for a lovely few days.
