Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.

Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort #255 will have temporary membership privileges at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles, fishing pier and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center.

Accommodations: Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort is a relaxing retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the northern-end of Longboat Key. Choose from our various unit styles including hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom garden view units, and one- and two-bedroom beach front units.

Resort was very nice! Cleaning staff very accommodating and pleasant. Condo was as we expected and we were pleased with it's location in the resort. The only issue we found was a lack of convenient places to eat (aside from the main part of town).

We had a wonderful stay at silver sands. The condo was clean and very nice. Pool was one of our favorite parts of the stay including the grills to use by the pool. Perfect location and right on the beach! We will definitely be staying here again in the future!

Everything was perfect. The room was missing a few odds and ends, but nothing to really complain about. The resort was clean, quiet, and peaceful. I could not have imagined a better vacation. It was the perfect time of year to be there. Beautiful weather, not many people around, and the beach was not crowded. I will definitely be booking a return vacation for next year.

The office staff were terrific. Explained everything well and took time to show us the location of the condo. Property was well maintained and easy to get around. Room was as described. Very clean and furnished nicely. Good view from the Lanai of the pool area and the ocean. The pool was very nice. Clean and warm. Not very busy while we were there so no crowds to deal with at the pool. We were just steps from the beach. The beach was very nice and there were several beach chairs to use from the resort. So many good places to eat or places to shop within minutes away. The only things that I wish were better were the parking area can be full and tight sometimes and the washer/dryers are outside under the 2nd floor walkway. I was very pleased overall and definitely would return.

Highly recommend Silver Sands. We were down in the Tampa area for a conference and came early to spend a few nights on the beach. What a beautiful location to watch the sunsets over the ocean. Having a kitchen available and gas grills was a huge bonus so we didn't have to eat out every night. Instead we got to eat fresh fish from the market over the bridge. Being able to play putt-putt and shuffle board were fun activities, too. Finally, special thanks to staff. We arrived late and left early. Effectively we never met them in person for check-in or checkout, but they were communicative and helpful. Everything went off without a hitch.

We rented unit #255 over the MLK weekend for a short getaway which is only the 2nd floor of the orange building of Silver Sands property. From reservation to checkin , the process was seamless. I received emails with confirmation and checkin process plus Ryan from the management property left me a message as well regarding where to pickup my keys should I arrive after office hours (which I did). I picked up my keys in the "After Hours" mailbox at the office with great instructions but had to stop in the office the next morning to sign a form plus give details of my car. Ryan who was in the office (the same Ryan who left me a voicemail the day before) was very professional and courteous. The unit is cozy, adorable and clean. Not too dated, well maintained (so is the entire property) and does not musty or old. Bed is comfortable and there were plenty of towels. We did not require any housekeeping as we were there for only two nights. Just a few steps away from the beach. The property is driving distance to St Armand's circle and some great restaurants. We will be back at this property.

We loved our little condo! It was so cozy. We got there during hurricane Fred so had rain for 2 days. But it was so cozy and had decent TV channels so we were fine. Got some much needed rest. The Red tide was minimal so we got to enjoy the quiet beach a few days. The pool was clean for the days we didn't beach. We loved trying the local restaurants: La Norma pizza and Italian, Whitney's and our favorite was the Lazy Lobster. The maid service was very attentive and friendly. The office was staff was nice but hard to reach at times with minimal office hours. The only suggestion for the room was a pizza pan or baking sheet pan would be nice. That was the only thing we needed and didn't have. If you're looking for a simple cozy get away Silver Sands #255 is perfect.

We love the Longboat Key area and the Silver Sands condos. This is our 2nd year staying at Silver Sands and the complex is lovely....the pool, the beach, the view. Our condo was very comfortable and we enjoyed settling in and feeling at home for 4 days. Will definitely come again!

This is a nice unit with a partial gulf view from the enclosed lanai.We did have a couple of things that were absent in the kitchen that would have made our stay much nicer! It needed: potholders, sheet pans, a 9x13 baking dish/ would rate a lot higher with these basic kitchen pieces available for use. Also the ice maker in the frig did not work. These are little annoying things that if fixed, would make stays much nicer.

We had a wonderful stay at Silver Sands! It was our first time staying at this property and we would definitely return. The beach is absolutely beautiful and the property grounds/landscaping is so pretty and well maintained. The proximity from the rooms to the beach was so close and the availability of beach chairs and umbrellas was very convenient. We also appreciated the hotel providing beach towels. Our room was well stocked and very clean. The only complaint was there was an bad smell when we entered our room. After investigating, we realized there was rotten food in the garbage disposal that hadn't been cleaned out....probably because there was also a beer cap in the garbage disposal that made a terrible sound when turned on (thus no one turned it on to wash away the food). My husband got out the beer cap and we were able to get rid of the rotten food and the smell was then gone. The bathroom lock did not work which was tough with young kids in the room and we did see an earwig (bug) but in the bathroom one morning. There were no sheets or blankets for the pull out couch upon arrival and it was too late in the evening (bedtime) when we made this discovery so no way to get extra sheets. We ended up pulling bedding off the master bed to share with the pull out bed so our kids could sleep. The very next day housekeeping brought us sheets for the pull out sofa. Other than those few issues in the room, we had a fantastic stay at Silver Sands and look forward to returning again soon!
