Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.

Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort #253 will have temporary membership privileges at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles, fishing pier and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center.

Accommodations: Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort is a relaxing retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the northern-end of Longboat Key. Choose from our various unit styles including hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom garden view units, and one- and two-bedroom beach front units.

Unit #253 Features: 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom unit in the Green Building with a direct pool view and a distant Gulf view from your private patio.

This is the second time we stayed at Silver Sands and it did not disappoint. It was everything we expected. The ocean view was great. Not having to chairs or umbrellas was a bonus. We would definitely rent there again.

This was our sixth time staying at Silver Sands and we have never ha d a bad experience. The unit was clean and had everything we would use at home. The view from the deck of the Gulf is breathtaking. I have booked another stay there next year.

The pool was amazing and so was the view overlooking the gulf. Management and staff were very nice. Would definitely stay there again!

Apologies for not responding sooner. We enjoyed our stay at Silver Sands. Corby Webb was very helpful. We expect to contact her when planning out next visit to the area. Silver Sands had the amenities we wanted and was ideally located. Scheduling was perfect for our stay as we had odd arrival and departure times. Staff was great. Would stay again.

We spent a week at silver sands resort and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location of the resort is perfect. We enjoyed our time at the pool and the beach. The staff at silver sands is top notch. They friendly, professional and hard working. We constantly saw staff cleaning and straightening in the pool area and working on landscape.

Longboat Key was a pleasant surprise for us in that it was not overly crowded. The rental unit was nicer in person than the pictures show. It was clean, comfortable and had the best view. The toilet concerned us due to water pressure but it ended up being fine. The shower had great water pressure. The couch and bed were comfortable for sleeping. Both TVs worked although we didn’t watch them. Longboat is the perfect spot between Sarasota and Anna Maria. We were able to visit both yet enjoy the calm of staying in Longboat. Be warned traffic going toward Anna Maria during the day is crazy and you could spend an hour just going a few miles. We also enjoyed a boat ride and saw many dolphins!!! The beach chairs and easy, quick access to the beach from Silver Sands makes it the perfect location. Wonderful, relaxing trip.
