RVA offers Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort. Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.

Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort #249 will have temporary membership privileges at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center.

Accommodations: Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort is a relaxing retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the northern-end of Longboat Key. Choose from our various unit styles including hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom garden view units, and one- and two-bedroom beach front units.

My first comment is to say that your Guest Service Agent, Margaret is awesome. Always a smile & ready to help in any way. She takes great care of all your renters. She is a valued representative for your company. we expect to see her back next year!<br/>This is our 2nd yr at SS & as was last year, the overall experience was great. This was our 1st stay in #249. The unit gets high marks in the areas of HVAC, tvs, water pressure. It really had everything we needed. I'm thinking that after this year, the LR sofa might need to be replaced, but otherwise the furnishings were good - beds were very comfortable - the decor very pleasing. As you will see below, we gave 5 stars to all your questions. We are booked for next year and can't wait to return.

We had an amazing family time , this unit is the best located one as it faces the pool from your front door and it also faces the beach and access the beach walk from the screened balcony.<br/>Ms Margaret in the office is absolutely excellent and helped me with everything I needed . <br/>We will definitely come back and the only recommendation I have is for 2 of the beds to be updated or replaced please and those are the twin bed in the second room and the sofa bed , as they were not as comfortable.<br/>Thank you so much for great memories

Condo conveniently located on the ocean and near the pool. It also has a conveniently located grill. There were 7 of us and the condo was comfortable .

This is our second stay in unit 249 and we loved it even more with the now 2 full bathrooms. Steps from the beach or hangout on the porch and listen to the waves. Staff is super helpful, place is kept up nicely. Only 30 minutes to airport.

Fantastic location on the beach plus a swimming pool. Lounger chairs and umbrellas for the beach were provided, as well as buckets and spades for the children if they needed them. The grandchildren had a great couple of days on the beach. There was everything you needed for a relaxing vacation.

Our family has vacationed at Silver Sands for many years. This year we rented 3 units. The location is great, the beach and pool are favorite gathering spots and the units themselves were well stocked and immaculate.

My second time at Silver Sands. Once again, I was not disappointed. One reason relates to your manager, Ryne. I had a couple of issues and he dealt with them promptly and effectively. What a great personality for his job. If I return I hope he is NOT there. That is not an insult. He should be managing a bigger facility. Can't say enough good things about him

We stayed at silver sands for our daughters birthday. We rented unit 249 and it was perfect. Directly on the beach, private porch, clean and adorably decorated. We’ve already looked to rebook this unit. Great for a beach weekend. Highly recommend

Our extended family has been vacationing at the Silver Sands for many years. It is close to the beach, the pool is large and restaurants are nearby. We have rented various units but 249 is a favorite!

If you love the beach, this is the most wonderful place ever!!! The gulf is right outside your front door. It isn’t crowded and the resort provides umbrellas and chairs. The sand is like sugar. As if that wasn’t heavenly enough, the side door leads to the pool and shuffleboard and miniature golf. Lots of fabulous restaurants on the island. Host is very professional and friendly.

A fantastic unit and location. We loved walking onto the beach. Chairs and umbrellas were very convenient. The resort staff were welcoming and helpful. All amenities were well looked after. We would love to come back.

We spent two weeks at Silver Sands in early November. I can't imagine better vacations (although I worked online and kids had their school lessons till 3 pm). Warm days and nights, empty beach and quiet sea, with occasional dolphins and even manatees. The apartment is spacious and clean, and it can comfortably accommodate a family of four, with all necessary amenities. The hotel's pool is just a few steps from the door. #249 is facing the beach and the sea, with a small porch, so we could pick our beach staff and walk out seamlessly. Full kitchen allowed us to avoid restaurants in COVID19 times. Great experience, we would dream to return there again!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and will likely be back. We stayed in an ocean front suite. Pros: parking, immediate beach access, pool, full kitchen, family/kid friendly. Cons: housekeeping came once - they also took some of our beach towels, housekeeping also didn't replace any of the towels they took. Seems other people had the same experience. Ants in the kitchen. We had to be very careful with food and dishes.
