RVA offers Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort. Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.

Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort #242 will have temporary membership privileges at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center.

Accommodations: Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort is a relaxing retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the northern-end of Longboat Key. Choose from our various unit styles including hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom garden view units, and one- and two-bedroom beach front units.

Unit #242 Features: 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom unit in the Green Building with a direct pool view and a distant Gulf view from your private lanai.

Excellent, very clean. So convenient to pool and beach. Staff was very nice and did every Ty to please. Have stayed here several times but probably nicest unit so far Having chairs on beach was a big plus

Easy access to all! Ground floor apt, parking out front door, pool just steps away, beautiful view of beach just around pool sidewalk, easy walking on main road to ice cream, pizza, restaurants! On site staff lovely and helpful, property well maintained by attentive management company!

Really enjoyed our stay in this unit. It is within walking distance to a few eateries, but ubered to Publix for groceries. Pool was heated and loved that the beach was a few paces from our unit. Really like that beach chairs and umbrellas are supplied. Will def be back!

A lovely charming place that offers the ultimate in relaxing and loving the beach. The pool was so clean and heated and steps from out place.<br/>Most of all, Margaret at the front office was so kind and helpful. That makes at huge difference!<br/>Looking forward to our return!

We had a wonderful relaxing time at the HEATED pool and beach. My husband and I are retired but watch our grandkids. We ended up sharing this vacation with our 5-year-old granddaughter who is still in preschool. Grandpa and Grandaughter must have stayed in the pool 12 hrs a day. The condo we stayed in was updated but it could use a few more items for cooking. The refrigerator was an eyesore, but it worked great. The property's mgmt was 100 percent positive and VERY friendly and professional. Would recommend and stay here again.

We absolutely loved our stay. The unit was clean, we LOVED the resort atmosphere, the easy steps to the water, the sea turtles, the bike trails, and easy access to delicious to local restaurants. We definitely will come back! The remaining comments are meant to be constructive because our stay was lovely! Sleeper sofa is pretty bad. It desperately needs a new matress. Master bed is VERY comfortable. Fort he $$ of the rental, please updte the refrigerator. The ice box decides when it does and does not want to work. The whole refrigerator shows rust. Also, please spend $5.00 or less on a shower curtain liner that isn't yellow with age (or whatever it is).

This unit is the best in the whole place from what we saw! Modern and clean design and very clean. Perfect family weekend getaway steps from the beach! The putt putt was a nice bonus for when the kids needed a break from swimming. Only negative was most of the grills seemed out of propane but we made it work. <br/>We will be back!!

We had a great time. The only two things I would change is the sofa and carpet are not sofa fabric. You have to wear socks and also cover the sofa with a blanket to enjoy. Other than that, everything was great. Location, view, size, accommodations..... Great!

We have our annual family reunion at Silver Sands every year. Overall, we are always happy with our stay. We did have one problem when we stayed 3 weeks ago. When my kids prepared to go to bed on the fold out couch, they discovered there were no linens available. The same thing happened to another family member staying in another unit.

If you want a place to get away and not be near crowds, this is for you. Private beach only a short walk from your room. No crossing roads or parking lots, just Walk. To. The. Beach. We brought a 10x10 canopy and just left it up all day even though we came back to the room multiple times. On a public beach we may have seen that walk away. They also offer free beach chairs and umbrellas, nice bonus. The rooms are nice, nothing fancy. A few issues but nothing to write about here. The staff fixed the only one that really needed attention within 5 minutes. The pool was green, the pool guy showed up the day we left. Not a huge deal, we weren't after the pool anyways. We wanted a secluded place to stay for a couple nights and just get away from people and see some sunsets. This was perfect. We did need to run to Publix one night and it was just 10 minutes down the road. Quick in and out and back to relaxing :) We will for sure be back, hopefully soon.

Simple, quiet, all we needed. Not nearly as crowded as most other places because the property is surrounded by personal residences. The beach was spacious and not crowded.
