Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.

Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort #238 will have temporary membership privileges at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center.

Accommodations: Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort is a relaxing retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the northern-end of Longboat Key. Choose from our various unit styles including hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom garden view units, and one- and two-bedroom beach front units.

Title says it all! This room was very large, plenty of space to spread out, had everything you need to cook, entertain, and be comfortable. Beds were firm but comfortable. Rooms were spotless and everything was in good repair. The pictures don't do the amount of space justice; it is very roomy! The beach is one of the best we have ever been to, great for relaxing in the water or the sand. Pool is VERY warm (in the best way possible). The mini golf course on premises was a lot of fun to play with the kids, even if it was tiny (most holes could be made in one good shot, but that sort of added to the fun!). The rental came with a pass to one of the local clubs right around the corner, but we were having so much fun at the resort we never made it. Longboat Key beach is a hidden gem, as we went to Siesta Key beach just before (supposedly the "best beach in America") and Longboat was better in pretty much every way. Cannot recommend this resort enough! Even the staff were outstanding, so kind and courteous, and very accommodating! Would look forward to visiting again.

Stayed here with family. There were five of us and this place suited us perfectly. Very friendly staff at the office. We had everything we needed and had a great time. Would definitely rent here again.

After Hurricane Ian hit in our area of SW Florida , we were ready to cancel our kids and 3 grandkids visit over New Years week, instead we got busy and found your lovely accommodations 90 minutes north of the Ian damage ....Silver Sands...Longboat Key... the location, beach, BBQ-pool area were amazing!! It felt like a new, updated, private Oasis!! Our family will return!!! Thank you for a family retreat that will be long remembered!!

We had a great stay. The place was perfect for our group of 6 adults and a 4 year old. There was enough room for us to be together or have our own space. We loved having lunch out on the deck. Our only complaint was that we needed more beach towels. We would definitely stay there again.

Loved the location, very low key. We had good food at all restaurants as we ate out every night! Condo was nice and pretty well equipped. It was great to have the beautiful ocean and the pool. Kids even played alot of putt putt! Would definitely return.

We really enjoyed our stay at Silver Sands. Plenty of activities to keep the kids busy. The rooms were nice. I stayed in the one unit and the bed and pillows were very hard. The air conditioner did not keep the room cool. Not enough wall outlets near the bed that were easily accessible. Need a hand rail in the shower(s).

We just stayed here for five nights with our four young grandkids. We had a wonderful time one the beach, pool and nearby tennis courts. They supply lots of beach towels, umbrellas and chairs. Everything was clean and well maintained. The Bradenton pier is very close for fishing.

Silver Sands was a little outdated but the room itself was awesome. It was quiet . A perfect location on the island. They provided us with chairs on the beach as well as umbrellas. The pool was great. We will DEFINITELY stay at Silver Sands again?????

Perfect location! Perfect unit! Perfect beach! This was exactly what we were looking for and we cannot wait to visit again. Silver Sands is located on a private and quiet, gorgeous gulf beach. I loved walking a few short steps to the sand to enjoy my coffee each morning! The kids had fun in the ocean and the pool. Shuffleboard and mini golf were bonuses! We will definitely be back!
