Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.

Accommodations: Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort is a relaxing retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the northern-end of Longboat Key. Choose from our various unit styles including hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom garden view units, and one- and two-bedroom beach front units.

We honeymooned in Apt 236 50 years ago and return each year! The housekeeping staff is very attentive, very efficient and friendly. The front office staff and resort manager Bobi went out of their way to make our stay extremely memorable. Thank you Silver Sands team!

VERY CLEAN!! The complex is older but very well maintained. The Unit was roomy, quiet location in complex even though next to parking; the trees and shrubs give you a lot of privacy, especially as an end unit. Kitchen well equipped and CLEAN! Good water pressure, HOT water, lots of towels, pullout couch. Bed is a full-size, small but cozy and comfy. Nice enclosed/screened patio with a table and chairs; again CLEAN! Good HVAC. Only suggestion would be to replace the bed pillows, but we always bring our own so it was not an issue.

My daughter and I were pleasantly surprised how clean and comfortable was the rooms at the Silver Sands Resort. We've been coming to Longboat Key for about 40 years and hadn't noticed this place. We especially liked the kindness of the staff and the closeness to the beach. We walked every morning for about 4 miles.

We had 3 different units for our family get-together. We had a great time! We used the BBQ grill a few times. The place is maintained well. Margaret, in the office was the best! Always smiling and a great help if we needed anything. She was friendly and great with the kids. There were plenty of pool and beach toys for the kids. We greatly appreciated the available lounge chairs and umbrellas. Will be planning another stay soon!

From start to finish Silver Sands was excellent. Margarette at my he front desk was OUTSTANDING! She called me on my arrival day when it was getting late to let me know what to do if I would be checking in after hours. She was there every day and didn’t make me feel like a pain in the butt when I couldn’t figure out my TV. I stayed in 236 and it was perfect! Spotlessly clean and an end unit with no one above. I will be back!

What a great place. Very clean and so close to the beach. They provide plenty of beach towels, beach umbrellas, and lounge chairs. The price is absolutely affordable. My new go to place when I want to be right on the beach!
